Brazil were up to their usual tricks at the Star Sixes with Rivaldo twice involved in a trio of Rabonas against Italy.
The Barcelona legend’s first attempt at a Rabona went horribly wrong, rolling across the face of the box into the path of Djalminha, the former Deportivo midfielder.
He then laid the ball off nicely back to Rivaldo with a Rabona of his own, before the Brazilian again miscued, blazing over the Italian bar with another trick shot from outside of the box.
In Group B, a star-studded Brazil side beat Italy 2-1 on the opening night of the Betsafe Star Sixes at the O2 Arena on Thursday with Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos and Gilberto Silva turning out for the five-time world champions.
England, boasting former internationals Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Emile Heskey and Phil Neville, were beaten 4-1 by a strong Spain side, and now face Scotland on Friday night, before going up against Mexico on Saturday afternoon in their final group game.
