Last year’s winner Order Of St George is one of 14 runners in Thursday’s Gold Cup at Royal Ascot.

Aidan O’Brien’s stayer went on to prove his versatility last season by finishing third in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and he won the Saval Beg Stakes on his most recent outing.

Another former winner, Ed Dunlop’s 2015 hero Trip To Paris, also lines up.

Last season’s popular St Leger hero Harbour Law runs for Laura Mongan with Michael Bell’s Big Orange another who will have plenty of supporters.

Hughie Morrison runs his Cesarewitch winner Sweet Selection, who handled the step up in class in the Sagaro Stakes where she beat Prince Of Arran and the two clash again. Morrison also runs Nearly Caught.

Quest For More, Sheikhzayedroad, Simple Verse and Torcedor all have claims while Harrison, Endless Time and She Is No Lady complete the field.
