The contest will represent Smith’s third bid to win a world title following two unanimous points defeats to Arthur Abraham.
The Liverpudlian will once again seek to claim world honours on German soil and has already alluded to the fact that this will likely be his last opportunity to achieve his lifelong dream.
Paul’s brother Stephen will also feature on the bill in a six round bout against Hungarian Karoly Gallovich.
