Shawn Porter is ready to put on a show on the Mayweather vs McGregor undercard and get back into the world-title mix.

The former IBF world champion will take on Puerto Rico’s Thomas Dulorme at the T-Mobile Arena, on August 26, live on .

Porter, who beat Mayweather victim Andre Berto in a make-or-break bout in April, is looking forward to sending out a reminder to the rest of the 147lbs division.

Shawn Porter remains on course to secure another shot at WBA and WBC world welterweight champion Keith Thurman after stopping Andre Berto in New York

“As always I’m just excited to get in the ring and perform,” he said.

“I think fighting on network television again will be awesome and a huge opportunity for me. And to do it before one of the most anticipated sporting events ever is even more exciting.

“I feel like I’ve earned this spot and I’m ready to give the people the appetiser they deserve! ‘Showtime’ Shawn Porter never disappoints and I will prove that again on August 26.”

Porter was ringside in Sheffield to see compatriot Errol Spence Jr take the IBF title away from Kell Brook, who did the same against ‘Showtime’ back in 2014.

Opponent Dulorme has won 16 out of 24 wins inside the distance and at 5ft 10in, will have height and reach advantages. The 27-year-old challenged pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford for the vacant WBO super-lightweight strap two years ago.
