Hibernian have re-signed defender Steven Whittaker on a three-year deal.
The Scotland international returns on a free transfer to Neil Lennon’s side after a 10-year absence, subject to international clearance.
One of seven players released by Norwich at the end of last season, Whittaker becomes Lennon’s fifth signing of the summer.
The 33-year-old won the League Cup with Hibs in 2007 before joining Rangers then later moving to Norwich, where he made 90 appearances for the Canaries and scored five goals.
Whittaker, who has 31 international caps to his name, said: “I am delighted to be back at Hibernian. When I decided to return to Scotland, Hibernian was the club I hoped to come to.
“While the discussions have taken a while, they have always been positive and I am very pleased to be back playing at Easter Road for the Hibernian fans, and I hope I can play my part in ensuring a successful return to the top flight.”
