Roger Federer has thrashed Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 to win a record eighth Wimbledon title.
At 35, Federer has become the eldest male winner at Wimbledon during the professional era, demolishing his opponent in an hour and 41 minutes.
The victory is the Swiss superstar’s 19th Grand Slam title and his 11th appearance in the Wimbledon finals.
His opponent Cilic broke down in tears after slipping 3-0 behind in the second set, with millions watching him faltering on Centre Court.
Cilic had to take a medical time-out to receive treatment for what appeared to be blisters on his left foot at the start of the third set.
