Ali Al-Habsi has left Reading to join Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, the two-time Asian champions have announced.
The 35-year-old initially spent four years at Bolton before joining Wigan in 2011 after a year-long loan period.
Al-Habsi was an FA Cup winner with the Latics in 2013, where
He was able to join Al Hilal on a three-year deal after the Saudi Arabian Premier League relaxed rules on overseas players, permitting clubs to field foreign goalkeepers.
Al-Habsi, who was Reading’s player of the year last season, is expected to make his competitive debut for Al Hilal when the Riyadh-based club face UAE side Al Ain in the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League in August.
